VICKY GRYGAR

Law Clerk

Vicky Grygar is a law clerk. She always makes a point of relating to clients on both sides of the equation and she respects the fact that every client has rights that must be honoured and protected.

Coming from a somewhat unsuspected background, Vicky was a competitive rower for Michigan State University, a Division 1 NCAA university, throughout a portion of her undergraduate career where she studied Kinesiology. Maintaining a strong academic focus on the legalities surrounding athlete issues and the protection of athlete rights, Vicky’s unique experience gives her a perspective unlike that of other law clerks and one that is particularly grounded in fairness and justice.

Vicky graduated from Brock University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, which she followed up with a Master’s degree in Health and Physical Education in 2013. During her third year as a Ph.D. student in Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto, and her time working for the United Steelworkers Union (USW), Vicky realized her true passion was law. She pursued her legal career and has been actively working in the field since 2015.
